Our Christmas Vacations
(First Draft)

It was planned ours Christmas vacations by 6 months in advance. In order to get the best flight deals. This time the vacations is for three weeks. First time in my working life, that I have this long vacation and the best it will be exploring Mexico, my home country.
With all the winter clothes put on, we left Canada in a cold morning; the temperature was -35, really freezing morning.
The trip started in the Riviera Maya, where was the reunion point with my siblings and mom. It was possible to be discovering different beaches, water parks, and archeologic places. I must say the seafood was just amazing but after several days, we claimed for a beefsteak! We are meat lovers!
Second week was around Veracruz State, visiting different cities and towns because our relatives live not in the same place. This State is worth in all kind of environments from the hot beaches until the forest with mountains. It was possible to explore part of them. Kind of the best part was enjoy the uncle’s ranch, where we started our day listening the roosters, and coming out from the room seeing all kind of farm animals. Just the kids loved to be part there playing with the cousins and the animals.
Third week was visiting cities in a zone named “El Bajio”, close to the Center of Mexico. This zone is conformed by several small states where was the beginning of Independence of Mexico, around the 19th century. These cities reflect the Spanish heritage. Incredible or not, we have relatives there as well. Therefore, we enjoyed each corner with them and friends,
Finally was the last two days in Mexico, we decided to go to Mexico City, Mexico’s capital, where the flight would depart. We stayed in a hotel close to airport in order to do not have inconvenience to take the flight. However, incredible or no, other relatives who live in this city invited us to explore around. Of course, we cannot say no! One of the places that we visited with them was Teotihuacan, an emblematic archeologic place. First time that my family went up to the sun pyramid together. The best, it was a sunny day, special to receive the energy in the top of this ceremonial pyramid, where the Height is 71.17 meters or 233.5 feet.
Now, it was time to flight back to Canada, It was not a sad time because we enjoyed each moment there and we are happy as well here in our new country, Canada.
We were prepare with one luggage with our winter clothes, but in our connection flight, we forgot to take them out and put on. We documented it. The kids and I were with pants and sweaters that we found in the carry -on but my husband was with shorts. Therefore, we cross the boarding track in Toronto and Saint John with a temperature of -20.
After all, we feel as Real Canadian coming back from  Sun vacations.
